After being closed for two weeks, The Swan has reopened boasting a refreshed bar, updated reception area, and a more contemporary interior—while still honouring the hotel’s rich heritage.
Our designers have blended modern style elements with the period features that make The Swan so special: polished wooden floors, upgraded lighting, and comfortable new seating now sit alongside the 16th-century beams and vaulted stone cellars that have always been part of the hotel’s charm.
The bar has been transformed into a lighter, more open space—perfect for locals and travellers alike—while the reception area now offers a warmer welcome with new décor and a streamlined layout.
Outside, guests will notice the elegant new facade, with attractive grey tones that enhance the building’s Georgian character, complemented by a vibrant, colourful front door that adds a striking splash of personality. New signage completes the look, ensuring The Swan remains a proud landmark opposite Wells Cathedral.
